Applications for renewable energy

In the context of the promotion of renewable energy and energy efficiency, the SFOE website offers interactive applications and digital services. Various geoinformation instruments are available which among other things provide storymaps containing important information. These include storymaps on water power, wind energy, biomass, geothermal energy, etc.
The wind energy one-stop shop provides an online portal for federal grants for wind energy. Various calculators and on-line tools are also available at EnergieSchweiz.ch. For example:
- Sonnendach.ch (a digital application for determining the solar potential of your house roof);
- the solar calculator (which determines how much photovoltaic energy can be produced on the roof and what is costs);
- the solar products check (an online comparison of photovoltaic products);
- Heating system check (an online comparison of which heating system is the most suitable for the corresponding house).
The SFOE and EnergieSchweiz are promoting new digital applications and the further development of existing ones on an ongoing basis.
