The current Telecommunications Act (TCA) dates from 1997; a first partial revision came into force in 2007. The spread of the Internet has radically transformed the telecommunications landscape. With the revision, the law has been adapted to the new circumstances: The main points of the revision are the strengthening of consumer concerns, deregulation and administrative simplifications.
