Revision of the sectoral plan for transport
The sectoral plan for transport is a planning and coordination instrument of the Confederation. In principle it guarantees the harmonisation of transport by road, rail, air and water with each other and with regional development. The sectoral plan for transport sets goals and the principles applicable to their implementation. The goals and principles are mandatory for the authorities of the Confederation and the cantons. The sectoral plan is updated regularly and as required. The next update will incorporate the effects of digitalisation on mobility.
